Which Gubernatorial Candidate Would You Vote For Today? [POLL]
The primaries haven't been finalized yet, but there are a number of candidates. Who is your front-runner right now?
NEW YORK — It's a long way to November when the election will decide who the next governor of New York will be.
Incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul is clearly in the lead, according to a Unite NY/John Zogby Strategies Poll, John Zogby wrote in Forbes March 4.
Hochul is asking voters to give her a full term, after the resignation of Andrew Cuomo in August made her the state's first woman governor.

Zogby said she has 57 percent of Democratic primary voters, with Long Island's Rep. Tom Suozzi and New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams both in the teens. One out of eight is still undecided.

On the Republican side, Zogby's numbers suggest "a real horse race" among Rep. Lee Zeldin of Long Island, former Trump aide Andrew Giuliani and former gubernatorial candidate and Westchester County executive Rob Astorino.
Zogby said Giuliani has an 8 point lead over Zeldin — 31 percent to 23 percent — and Astorino is just behind with 21 percent.
Both Hochul and Zeldin received the nod from their respective parties, so if there are primaries June 28, they will be on the ballot.
Suozzi and Williams still need to qualify to be on the Democratic Party primary ballot. Giuliani and Astorino also have to qualify for the Republican primary.
That is not to say only those already mentioned will be the only choices.
Paul Nichols, a Democrat, New York native and attorney, said he wants a stab at being governor.
Three other Republicans want to be governor as well, according to the Democrat & Chronicle: Michael Carpinelli, Harry Wilson and Derrick Gibson.
