Huskers top Rebels in thriller

Yorktown overcame a 3-1 first-period deficit to defeat Lakeland/Panas 4-3 in ice-hockey at the Brewster Ice Arena Dec. 10.

Neil Jacobsen led with two goals while Randy Ashe recorded 18 saves in goal for the Huskers.

The Rebels were led by Connor Bubolo with two goals. Teammate Brandon Vazquez made 41 saves.

Boys youth hoops

Yorktown won against Armonk 28-25 Dec. 11 in the boys fifth-grade B division of the Tri-County Basketball League.

 

Girls youth hoops

Yorktown defeated the New Castle Afterschock 39-23 Dec. 9 in the TCBL's girls sixth-grade division.
