girls basketball squad defeated sister school Walter Panas 34-30 Dec. 17 to win the championship game of the Walter Panas Holiday Classic.

Husker grapplers place second
Yorktown's wrestling squad was a finalist in a tournament that it hosted, the Ninth Annual Chase Media Group Holiday Wrestling Classic Dec. 16 and 17.
The Huskers made it to the finals, before losing to rival Somers 37-34.

Boys youth basketball
Yorktown defeated New Castle 27-26 Dec. 11 in the boys sixth grade B division of the Tri-County Basketball League.
