Lacrosse finals return to White Plains
If Lakeland/Panas and Yorktown participate in one of the Section 1 boys championship games this school year, as they routinely do, they won't have to travel to Rockland County.

That's because after being held at the Suffern Middle School Sports Complex in 2011, the games are returning to White Plains High School here in Westchester in the spring of '12 after a one-year hiatus.

Bozek named player of the year
Lakeland field hockey standout Emma Bozek was named Journal News Westchester/Putnam Player of the Year.
