County-Center Hoops: Yorktown Daily Sports Digest Feb. 27

Welcome to Patch's daily snapshot of sports in Yorktown.

Hoops at the county center

The best in local boys and girls basketball, from Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and southern Dutchess, will be competing at the Westchester County Center in White Plains Feb. 27-March 4 in the Section 1 semifinals and finals for the right to hoist the Gold Ball.

Girls youth hoops

Yorktown lost a highly competitive game to visiting White Plains 22-20 Feb. 18 in the sixth-grade division of the Tri-County Basketball League.

Despite the loss, Yorktown still enjoys a glittering 12-2 record.

Pioneer Sports League

The below was taken from the Central School District website:

YHS students in the Life Skills class play in the Pioneer Sports League with students from other schools throughout Westchester. Today's game (Feb. 15) was versus Bronxville.
