and Walter Panas' girls basketball squads played an exciting game with host Panas coming out on top 38-36 on a layup by Heather Kelly with just three seconds left in the Feb. 1 contest.
Rachel Myers led Panas with nine points while Michelle Pike paced the Huskers with seven.

Cremin leads Gaels
Yorktown resident Tara Cremin scored a team-high 12 points in leading Kennedy Catholic to a 49-37 triumph at Haldane Feb. 1.

Boys youth hoops
The Yorktown Huskers are 7-1, good enough for second place in the fourth grade boys B division of the Brewster Sports Center Super League.
That is important because the top four teams in the nine-team division will make the playoffs.
