Yorktown Man Accused Of Spitting Blood At Officer
The man had been involved in a fight and had to be taken to the hospital, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — Police accused a Yorktown man of spitting blood in an officer's face. Yorktown police said Herson Camey, 23, of Yorktown, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor. Police said, around 11:30 p.m. March 27, officers responded to a home in Yorktown to investigate a report of a fight in progress.
Police said one of the people involved — Camey — needed medical assistance for an unrelated issue.
One officer helped EMS personnel to take him to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, while at the hospital, Camey intentionally spit blood in the officer's face and eyes.
He was arrested Thursday at Yorktown Police Headquarters.

Camey was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cortlandt Justice Court May 18.
