Yorktown Man Allegedly Choked Woman, Stole From Her: Police
He voluntarily went to the police headquarters where he was arrested.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was arrested May 30 after allegedly trying to choke someone. Around 1:20 p.m. Yorktown police were called to investigate a domestic incident. The officers found that Ryan Thomas, 19, of London Road, allegedly grabbed the throat of another person stopping her breathing.
Police said Thomas also stole property from the victim as well.
He was contacted by an officer and voluntarily went to the Yorktown Police Department where he was placed under arrest.

Thomas was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and petit larceny, misdemeanors.
He was process and arraigned in the Yorktown Town Court by a judge who issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Thomas was released on his own recognizance and due back in court June 13.
