Yorktown Man Issued More Violations for Allowing Dogs to Run Wild
He is scheduled to appear in court September 13 to answer the charges.

YORKTOWN, NY — For the second time in a week, police have charged a Yorktown man for allowing his dogs to run wild.
Valdet Lajqi, 24, of Underhill Avenue, was charged with two counts of dog at large in a recreational area and two counts of allow any dog to chase, jump upon or harass any person, all town code violations.
Police said the charges stem from a July 9 incident when a woman walking in Turkey Mountain Preserve was chased, jumped and harassed by two dogs that were not on leashes.

In a separate incident on August 15, park patrons were also chased, jumped on and harassed by two at-large dogs in the preserve, police said.
Responding officers identified the owner as Lajqi, who appeared August 27 at the Yorktown Police Department and was issued a summons.

He was processed and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court September 13.
On August 22, Lajqi was charged with three town code violations, including failing to license a dog.
In the previous week, a woman named Bora Lajqi was issued a summons for allowing two aggressive dogs to run unrestrained around the preserve.
