Yorktown Man Shatters IPhone Screen: Police
The judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 53-year-old Yorktown man was accused of shattering the screen of someone's iPhone.
The Yorktown Police Department said Joseph A. Mazzarella, 53, of Yorktown, was charged with felony third-degree criminal mischief Tuesday.
Around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said an officer was sent to a Yorktown home to investigate a domestic incident.

Police said they found that Mazzarella intentionally broke the screen of another person's iPhone.
The value was determined to be more than $250, police said.

Mazzarella was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
He was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court at which time a judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.
Mazzarella was released on his own recognizance to appear back in court Oct. 12.
