Yorktown PD Unites with United for the Troops at Oct. 27-28 'Coffee with a Cop' Events
Say hello to a neighborhood cop and donate to our fighting men and women at the same time over a free cup of coffee.

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The Yorktown Police Department continues its heightened commitment to community policing under Chief Robert Noble (pictured in photo) with a pair of upcoming meet-and-greets in its popular “Coffee with a Cop” series.
The public is warmly invited to have a friendly chat with Yorktown officers at the following times and locations: On Friday, Oct. 27, at JV Hot Bagels 1 in Jefferson Valley, from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. On Saturday, Oct. 28, at 7-Eleven in Yorktown Heights, from 10:00 a.m.-1 p.m.
“Both local businesses have been kind enough to provide a free cup of small coffee to all who stop by that day and mention that they are there for the Coffee with a Cop event,” said Chief Noble. “We have invited United for the Troops to be there with us, and they will be accepting donations at both of our events on Oct. 27 and 28.”

Chief Noble added that the Coffee with a Cop events “have proven to be a positive way for us to engage more closely with residents outside of crisis situations that typically bring law enforcement officers and community members together.”
Members of the community are encouraged not only to attend, but to take advantage of a casual atmosphere to chat with their local police officers, ask questions about police work, seek advice, or just thank them for their service.
“I am very proud of the men and women who protect and serve Yorktown,” said Chief Noble. “I’m confident that members of the public will feel the same way when they get a chance to speak with any Yorktown Police Officer.
“We also are very proud to have United for the Troops joining us at these events. We can never forget that the liberties and freedom that we enjoy in America exist in large part to our Armed Services Veterans both past and present. There are a lot of young men and women far away from home serving their country. The care packages sent by United for the Troops are very necessary and vital.”
