David Varian came up big as a grappler could come up when he upset Hendrick Hudson's Sean Barry in the 285-pound final at the Kohl Invitational at Suffern High School Jan. 22.
Also earning titles for the Huskers were Joe Mastro (145 pounds), Steven Sabella (170) and Thomas Murray (182).

Rebels track places third
Both the Lakeland/Panas boys and girls track teams placed third at the League I-A championships Jan. 20 at Rockland Community College.

Boys youth hoops
Yorktown will play Seton at 6 p.m. tonight in the Brewster Sports Center Super League seventh-grade B division.
