Your Chance to Comment on the Fast-Food Wage Hike Plan
The public comment period opens Aug. 1 and closes Aug. 15.

The Fast Food Wage Board, appointed by the State Labor Commissioner, filed its report today about a gradual wage hike for fast food workers to $15 an hour.

Any objections to the recommendations shall be filed by Aug. 15, 2015 by e-mail atwageboard@labor.ny.gov, or by regular mail to NYS Dept. of Labor Wage Board Objections, Building 12 Room 586, State Office Campus, Albany, NY 12240.

The board, which was constituted May 7, is composed of:
- Byron Brown, Mayor of Buffalo, representing the public
- Kevin Ryan, Chairman and Founder of Gilt, representing businesses
- Mike Fishman, Secretary-Treasurer of the Service Employees International Union, representing labor.
