📰 News we're reading

• SeaD Consulting tests 44 shrimp dishes at Crystal Coast eateries with genetic testing (wcti12.com) — If you’re ordering “local” shrimp in Atlantic Beach, recent genetic testing suggests you might often be getting imported, farm-raised seafood instead. Two Atlantic Beach spots, Bahia Beach House and Table 9 Seafood, were among a handful of Crystal Coast restaurants whose sampled dishes actually matched their U.S. wild-caught shrimp claims, raising broader questions about menu transparency and support for local shrimpers.
