Coding Comes to Cary: Code Ninjas Celebrates Grand Opening September 19

CARY, N.C. (September 8, 2026) –Code Ninjas, the nation's largest kids coding franchise, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest Cary location on September 19, following a soft opening earlier this summer. Located at 2761 NC-55, Code Ninjas is helping children ages 5-14 build coding, robotics, and AI skills through interactive, game-based learning. The program offers a fun, safe environment where kids can explore technology, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence along the way.
Code Ninjas Cary soft opened on July 8 and will celebrate its grand opening on September 19 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Guests will have a chance to tour the facility, try hands-on coding and robotics activities, and enter a raffle for a chance to win prizes and exclusive swag. To reserve a spot at the grand opening, please visit the RSVP website.
Prior to the celebration, Code Ninjas will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 18 at 3 p.m. with the Cary Chamber of Commerce. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will bring together members of the Cary community along with neighboring towns, celebrating the center's role in bringing hands-on STEM education to the greater area.
Meet the Local Owner
Code Ninjas Cary is locally owned by Jared Cook, a media producer and animator. Cook has been actively involved in the greater Raleigh community since high school where he volunteered his time at the local YMCA. It’s there that he realized how important it is for kids to have a place to learn, create, and be a part of a community. Looking to further his impact locally, and noticing a need for STEM education in Cary, Cook decided to open Code Ninjas.
"I’ve seen how much this community wanted a place like this, and it makes sense. Cary is a rapidly growing tech hub, and kids here are growing up surrounded by innovation,” said Cook. “Whether kids want to build their own video game or program robots, I want Code Ninjas to be the place where they can turn that excitement into something real.”
Empowering the Next Generation of Coders
Designed to make STEM education both accessible and engaging, Code Ninjas helps children ages 5-14 build practical skills in coding, robotics and AI through interactive, game-based programs. Accredited by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the curriculum is modeled after martial arts, guiding students through nine belt levels—from white to black—as they progress.
Families can choose from a range of programs tailored to different ages and skill levels, from early learning in Code Ninjas JR to the CREATE program, where kids build their own video games. Students explore coding through multiple platforms like Minecraft and Roblox, as well as robotics and AI, turning screen time into skill-building time.
Students are supported by trained instructors, known as Code Senseis, and collaborate with peers in a fun, encouraging environment. Milestones like “Belt-Up” celebrations keep students motivated, and by the end of the program, each child will have created and published their own app, building real-world skills and confidence along the way.
Code Ninjas Cary offers flexible weeknight and weekend programs along with camps, birthday parties, and Parents Night Out events. To learn more about their programs or the grand opening event, please visit https://www.codeninjas.com/nc-cary or call (984) 299-CODE.
