Here are the top stories in Durham today:

  1. The Streets at Southpoint Mall was closed down for part of Black Friday after a shooting left a 10-year-old and two others injured. Off-duty officers called for assistance when they heard the gunshots and the police do not believe that the shooting was random. One person is in custody. (FOX13)
  2. The North Carolina state budget includes a new rebate program that will allow companies to apply for a rebate of up to 25% on qualifying expenses. The program hopes to bring more e-sports to the area. (abc11)
  3. The City of Durham's storm water inspection project will be beginning soon. The project will cost approximately $292,000 for the Municipal Separate Storm inspection. (Bull City Today)
  4. The Public Art Committee is accepting new member applications to fill two vacancies, and the Cultural Advisory Board is accepting student member applications to fill one vacancy. The deadline for both positions is December 13, 2021. (City of Durham Facebook)
