• Former Dublin High School among 15 historic sites designated as Virginia Landmarks (pcpatriot.com) — Halifax County just gained major recognition, with the Banister River Navigation Improvements Historic District and the Calvary Rural Historic District newly listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register. These designations highlight local tobacco-farming heritage, river navigation structures, and rural churches and cemeteries, and could open doors to historic tax credits for preservation-minded property owners.
