Here are the top stories today in Durham:

  1. Durham City Council resumed in-person meetings yesterday. The meeting can be viewed online and safety precautions were in place to prevent COVID-19 spread. (CBS17)
  2. Willie Parker is donating turkeys to the Durham Rescue Mission for the second year, and the retired NFL player will be serving on Thanksgiving as well. (abc11)
  3. The City of Durham will be closing most of its offices in observance of Thanksgiving. Most city offices, and all non-emergency city operations will be closed on November 25 and 26. (DurhamNC)
  4. Tickets for Hamilton at DPAC will go on sale to the general public beginning December 2. The show will run from May 17 to June 5, 2022. (WRAL)
  5. The City of Durham erected the 2022 holiday tree over the weekend. The tree came all the way from Newland, NC. (Instagram)
