Here are the top five stories in Durham today:
- On Monday, the Durham City Council approved funding for a program that will help those in need restore driving privileges, expunge a criminal record, or secure a waiver from old traffic fines. - Family members of the victim of celebratory gunfire on New Year's Eve are mourning the loss of their heart-of-gold great-grandmother. Delores Burwell was identified after the incident and her relatives say it's too soon for them to talk about their loss. - Testimony is underway in the North Carolina redistricting case. Plaintiffs have presented experts to testify and break down the maps that were approved by Republican lawmakers.
