Here are the top stories today in Durham:

A petition on Change.org has already gathered more than 6,000 signatures expressing that they do not want the church there. (WRAL)
  2. The Durham Rescue Mission is seeking 3,000 new and unwrapped toys and games for children age 7-12 ahead of its annual Christmas Community Dinner and Toy Giveaway. The event will be held on December 23 and toys can be dropped off before December 16. (CBS17)
  3. National architecture firm, Shepley Bulfinch has acquired PARC design lab, a boutique architecture firm in Durham. The purchase is part of Shepley's goal to expand its science and tech portfolio while establishing a physical presence in key areas. (GlobeNewsWire)
  4. Durham police are searching for an SUV driver that fled a traffic stop, struck another vehicle, and then fled the scene on Tuesday night. The people in the vehicle that was hit were all treated for minor injuries. (CBS17)
