- A Durham man is being arrested on animal cruelty charges after abandoning his five dogs at his home, resulting in their death. He is also charged with failure to dispose of a dead domesticated animal. (WRAL)
- Durham County is planning on building a $30 million juvenile detention facility. Some community activist groups are calling for a halt saying that not enough community input was solicited. (WRAL)
- A new online dashboard is tracking trends in violent death in North Carolina. The NC Department of Health and Human Services launched the site in an effort to help safety and prevention efforts. (abc15)
