- Watch your speedometers, Durham police began their annual Thanksgiving speeding crackdown. They will be looking for drivers who are speeding, driving carelessly, texting, or not wearing their seatbelts. (CBS17)

- On Tuesday, Governor Cooper signed legislation that will change the way high school athletics are governed. The new law allows the State Board of Education to create a formal agreement with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association that will last an initial four years. (abc11)
