  1. Watch your speedometers, Durham police began their annual Thanksgiving speeding crackdown. They will be looking for drivers who are speeding, driving carelessly, texting, or not wearing their seatbelts. (CBS17)
  2. Durham officials are anticipating the population to double over the next 25 years. With the anticipated growth, City Councilmember Leonardo Williams believes that the city needs to focus on making sure the development is equitable. (WRAL)
  3. A local Durham artist, Wutang McDougal has been commissioned by actor/rapper Will Smith and Penguin Random House to create an illustration for Smith's new book. (Instagram)
  4. Homeowners in Durham County can expect their homeowners insurance to increase next year, beginning June 1, 2022. In Durham County, rates will rise by nearly 10% due to more wind and hail losses from damaging storms. (WRAL)
  5. On Tuesday, Governor Cooper signed legislation that will change the way high school athletics are governed. The new law allows the State Board of Education to create a formal agreement with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association that will last an initial four years. (abc11)
