The play safe! be safe! workshop represents a unique multimedia opportunity custom tailored for educators and caregivers of young children.

Raleigh, NC - April 11, 2016 - BIC and Fireproof Children will host the award-winning play safe! be safe! fire safety workshop in Raleigh this Wednesday. The program equips instructors, teachers, and daycare providers with the tools necessary to educate preschool children on the principles of fire safety. Since the program’s inception in 1994, BIC Corporation has distributed more than over 80,000 fire safety education kits in nearly every U.S. state and Canadian province.

The workshop will take place from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Quorum Center at 323 West Jones Street in Raleigh and will be led by Dr. Robert Cole, an Associate Professor at the University of Rochester Medical Center and President of Fireproof Children.

play safe! be safe! offers an intriguing look into the world of fire through the curious eyes of children. Using national statistics gathered by the National Fire Protection Agency, the workshop assists participants in understanding the particular challenges and dangers presented by a preschool child’s nascent understanding of fire. Workshop leaders then use this knowledge to teach participants fire prevention methods and how to effectively teach safety skills to preschool aged children.
