JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Enters Spring Lake
Local Army and Marine Veterans Expand Business' Movement to Help Employ Veterans throughout North Carolina

JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, a rapidly growing national company on a mission to offer business ownership opportunities to veterans and their family members, is now open in Spring Lake and will be servicing Harnett, Lee and parts of Cumberland County, including Fort Bragg. JDog franchisees provide junk removal and hauling services to both residential and commercial customers, delivering service the military way: with respect, integrity and trust.
The new location is owned by local Marine veteran Kenn Capper, and his wife, Army veteran Debbie Chiovitti-Capper. Kenn, a Marine Sergeant Major, served for 23 years in the Marines and was stationed in more than 20 countries. After his time in the military, he worked for 19 years helping mentor at-risk youth at a camp in Pennsylvania. Debbie served as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. The couple then decided to open their own business, one that would maintain military-style values and a family atmosphere.
“I’ve always wanted to be a business owner, and found that JDog was the perfect fit because of the professionalism, trustworthiness, and camaraderie,” said Kenn. “I love the family atmosphere and support within the company, and the opportunity to give back and become engrained in our community. As our company grows, I look forward to providing more opportunities to military veterans.”

JDog awards franchises exclusively to military veterans and their family members. Franchise owners operate easily recognizable, camouflage vehicles and trailers and wear military-style uniforms. JDog recycles and repurposes a substantial amount of the material they pick up. The Philadelphia-based company works closely with local and national organizations like charitable thrift stores and Habitat for Humanity, as well as local schools, churches and hospitals to donate useful items to those in need.
“The JDog team is supported by an experienced board of advisors, including decorated military officers and business professionals, who understand the unique attributes and qualifications of veterans,” said Jerry Flanagan, founder of JDog. “Every operations member of the JDog team has served our country, and now we’re banding together to serve their local communities.”
