Greensboro says water is safe after maintenance prompts taste complaints (abc45.com) — Greensboro officials say city tap water remains safe, despite recent taste and odor complaints linked to maintenance work and a temporary shutdown from a regional supplier. Crews have been flushing lines, and residents noticing changes are urged to run cold water from a non-aerated faucet for several minutes and call the 24-hour dispatch line for concerns. 
2. Greensboro man hit, killed while walking on West Gate City Blvd: Police (wxii12.com) — A man walking on the sidewalk at West Gate City Boulevard and West Meadowview Road in Greensboro was killed late Friday when a car left the roadway and struck him. Police say both the driver and victim are Greensboro residents, and investigators have filed misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and traffic charges while asking witnesses to contact CrimeStoppers with any information.
3. 'A new milk depot is coming to town': Novant health officials weigh in on becoming on new breastmilk donor site (wxii12.com) — Greensboro will get a new breast milk donor drop-off site this October, part of a statewide expansion to better support NICU babies and their families. Approved donors will be able to drop off milk locally instead of traveling to Chapel Hill or Charlotte, with strict screening and safety processes overseen through the WakeMed Mothers' Milk Bank partnership.
4. Men from Greensboro and Alamance County charged with multiple felonies in conspiracy case by Charlotte police (myfox8.com) — A 22-year-old Greensboro man and a 23-year-old Alamance County man face multiple felony charges tied to an alleged attempted first-degree murder plot investigated by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Authorities say the men were arrested after a Burlington traffic stop, and charges include attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, and firearm possession by a felon as this case continues to develop.

she got out in the kings pond /kings mill area! Update: she was found thank you for the help!! (Nextdoor Sedgefield - Kings Pond) - I go to the Lindley Park Arboretum alot and noticed the door on the Book Box near the chimes (in memory of Robin Ward of the Greensboro Women's Club) was rotting away.
So I built a new door and replaced it today. I'll probably replace the entire box as it is also falling apart. (Nextdoor Hunter Hills)
