PCC Notes: Greenville Convention Center to host annual jobs fair (reflector.com) — Greenville jobseekers and students can connect with more than 110 employers at the Better Skills, Better Jobs Fair on Oct. 1 at the Greenville Convention Center, with on-site interviews, resume help, and free professional attire. Pitt Community College is also offering a free Sept. 17 talk on pregnancy-related emergencies and new late-start classes beginning Sept. 15 for those wanting to enroll this fall.

Car crashes into tree along busy Greenville road (witn.com) — Emergency crews responded Saturday afternoon after a car crashed into a tree on East 10th Street in Greenville, near Forest Hill Circle and Brownlea Drive. Police say everyone got out of the vehicle, though at least one person was taken away by ambulance, and officials have not yet released details on injuries or what caused the wreck.
   

3. Card collecting and nostalgia: Pokémon Fest brings fans of all ages to Greenville (witn.com) — Pokémon fans of all ages packed the Holiday Inn in Greenville on Saturday, turning Pokémon Fest into a bustling hub for trading cards, games, and nostalgic collectibles. Local vendors, artists, and families shared stories, chased rare finds, and showed how the franchise continues to unite generations across Greenville's growing collector community.
   

4. REMEMBERING FRAN: 30 years since historic hurricane devastated the Carolinas (wmbfnews.com) — Greenville residents are reminded that Hurricane Fran brought 100 mph wind gusts to the city and massive power outages across eastern North Carolina 30 years ago. The retrospective highlights how the 1996 storm reshaped coastal and inland communities and stresses why families here should stay prepared for the next major hurricane.
