• On Havelock Bypass, Craven County trucker stops runaway rig to aid driver in distress (wcti12.com) — A truck driver's quick actions on the Havelock Bypass helped safely stop a runaway tractor-trailer after he noticed the other driver in clear distress. With law enforcement coordinating traffic, he climbed into the moving rig, shut off the ignition, and engaged the brakes. The distressed driver was taken for medical evaluation and is now home and doing well.
