• Gas leak in Kannapolis prompts road closure (salisburypost.com) — A natural gas line was struck on South Cannon Boulevard in Kannapolis, forcing evacuations of two nearby businesses and closing the road at Dale Earnhardt Boulevard for an estimated one to three hours. Firefighters and multiple neighboring departments are working with Enbridge to contain the leak, and officials are urging drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes while they secure the scene.
