• Car caper: Customers paid for auto repairs that never came, North Carolina deputies say (newschannel9.com) — Residents in and around Marble should know that Cherokee County deputies have charged a 21-year-old Marble man after a months-long probe into allegedly unfinished or improperly done auto repairs. Investigators say customers paid hundreds to thousands of dollars for work and parts that never materialized, and they believe more victims may be out there, urging anyone affected to contact the sheriff’s office.
