ā¢ Pine Knoll Shores police chief steps down, prepares to move into new position (witn.com) ā Pine Knoll Shoresā longtime police chief Ryan Thompson is stepping down to become a Public Safety Risk Management Consultant with the North Carolina League of Municipalities while remaining a part-time officer locally. Captain Eric Tellefsen will serve as interim chief as Thompson shifts to helping cities and towns statewide strengthen public safety and reduce risk.
