Arts Together Hosts Creative Fundraising Event

RALEIGH, N.C.– Arts Together is hosting Arts After Dark, a fundraising event that invites community members to experience the magic of creative expression and raise money for Arts Together programs. The event will occur from 6-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the Tucker Carriage House in Raleigh.

Renee Boyette, Director of Art Programs for Arts Together, said: “Arts After Dark allows us to gather with the community and let donors see for themselves the power and joy that can come from the arts. It’s also a great way to raise money for several of our programs and scholarships.”

All Arts After Dark proceeds will support the organization’s community-based programs and diversity, equity and inclusion scholarships. For those in attendance, the suggested donation amount is $50. Raffle tickets starting at $5 are also available to purchase, with winners announced the night of the event.

Participants can enjoy two art experiences taught by Boyette and Director of Dance Kathryn Auman. Auman will lead a creative movement class, and Boyette will teach a multi-media art class. These sessions allow donors to sample the experience of attending classes at Arts Together.

This fundraiser allows Arts Together to continue expanding its outreach programs. Through community-based programs, the organization meets families where they are by forming local partnerships to host classes. This year, Arts Together launched the SWAY Program, a collaboration with Kentwood Community Center and Heritage Park Community Center that focuses on facilitating discovery, connection and creation for local youth.

After the Rainbow Dance Concert, a successful event in April showcasing the dance program at Arts Together, the organization is excited to host Arts After Dark and interact with current students and the local community again. More event details will be on the website soon.
