Teen + Adult Workshop| Ages 16+ | Saturday October 31st, 1pm-4pm 
Great photography isn't always about expensive gear, it’s about knowing how to control the camera you already have. In this photography-based class, students will explore how framing, composition, perspective, and point of view can change the way we see an urban environment. Students will photograph Raleigh’s architecture, streets, public spaces, and everyday details while considering how their choices as photographers can communicate a particular experience or interpretation of the city.
Learning Objectives:
<ul><li>Explore different approaches to framing and composition.</li><li>Use perspective, scale, and point of view to create visually interesting photographs.</li><li>Consider how photographers can change the meaning or feeling of a place through image-making.</li><li>Create a small collection of photographs that presents a personal interpretation of the city.</li></ul>
Students will need to bring the following supplies:
<ul><li>Digital camera or smartphone with camera</li><li>Fully charged battery/phone</li><li>Memory card with available space, if using a camera</li><li>Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing</li><li>Notebook and pencil/pen for notes and observations</li><li>Laptop or iPad optional</li></ul>

It's gonna be a scary good time out in the Beer Garden this Halloween! We're welcoming The Roguez to Glass Jug for our last show of this year's Beer Garden Concert Series - it's going out with a bang! It’ll be a rockin show featuring this awesome alternative, blues, country, dance, metal, pop, rock group from Fuquay-Varina.
Subslicious will be serving up tasty sandwiches and more from their truck from 5-8pm, and our outdoor bar will be open, slinging our most popular beers right next to the stage! You can open a tab inside or outside and add drinks throughout the event from either bar. We can also close your tab inside or outside - so spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the show.
We expect a full house, so consider bringing your own lawn chairs or blankets as tables will go quickly. Or, get here early to beat the crowd, grab a beer and a picnic table. If our parking lot is full, overflow parking is available at the business complex next door. Just head between True Flavors and SpeeDee Oil Change Center to access the next parking lot. Remember - we're a brewery, no outside beverages or coolers allowed.

Join us for our annual recognition of stouts at The Glass Jug RTP - this time featuring our Deviation! Every year, the first Thursday of November is deemed International Stout Day and we're psyched to celebrate with you. Dark, malty,a little boozy and originating in the early 1700's, stout beer offers a unique beer experience. After all, the word stout means “strong”!
This year's tap list will feature the return of Glass Jug Deviation - not one but two versions - in cans and on draft. You'll love trying our Coffee Deviation AND Horchata Deviation plus a special draft-only version blend of Deviation and our Seismic Planet Barleywine.
Plus we'll have several guest taps to be announced so stop on in and savor the darkness.

This approachable watercolor workshop with artist Sia Karamalegos is a relaxed introduction to painting, as loose winter botanicals like evergreens, berries and pinecones take shape while the color flows across the page. You will work in the season’s palette of deep greens, berry reds and frosted neutrals and leave the experience with several small, finished paintings to give your holiday decorations a personal touch. 

All&nbsp;materials are provided, including professional-quality Winsor &amp; Newton watercolor paints, Fabriano Studio cold-press watercolor paper and brushes, so you can simply show up and paint. 
The class takes place in JB Duke Hotel’s Marketplace Bar, a favorite gathering spot for Fuqua School of Business students and visitors alike. After you put down your brush, warm up by the fire pits on the outdoor terrace with a glass of wine, available for purchase at the Marketplace Bar. Throughout the class, guests can also order food and beverages from the JB Duke Hotel’s Lobby Lounge menu to enjoy during the experience.
