She hopes to work with embassies and hospitals in Kathmandu while dangerous conditions keep families like hers from reaching the disaster zone directly.
   

5. FCC Authorizes Wireless Technology Innovation Zone at Iowa State (benton.org) — Raleigh readers should know that the FCC has expanded the geographic boundaries of North Carolina State University's wireless Innovation Zone, potentially boosting local research capacity. The same decision also creates a new zone at Iowa State and enlarges test areas in Boston and Salt Lake City to advance next-generation rural connectivity and precision agriculture technologies.
