Raleigh DAR Donates 106 Paracord Bracelets to Deployed Troops

(Raleigh, NC) - The Micajah Bullock Chapter, NSDAR made and donated 106 quick deploy paracord bracelets to Operation Gratitude’s 2021 Red, White & Blue Paracord Bracelet Challenge. The bracelets, which are made of 550 paracord and can be used to save a life in an emergency, will be included in care packages for 10,000 deployed troops across the globe as part of Operation Gratitude’s latest campaign, Christmas in July, delivering a much-needed morale boost to deployed troops serving overseas.

Founded in 2003, Operation Gratitude is one of the largest and most impactful nonprofits in the country for hands-on volunteerism in support of military, veterans, and first responders. The organization forges strong bonds between Americans and their Military and First Responder heroes through volunteer service projects, acts of gratitude, and meaningful engagements in communities nationwide.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a women’s service organization whose members can trace their lineage to an individual who contributed to securing American independence during the Revolutionary War. Today’s DAR is dynamic and diverse, with over 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters in the United States and abroad. DAR members annually provide millions of hours of volunteer service to their local communities across the country and world. DAR chapters participate in projects to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Over one million members have joined the organization since its founding in 1890.
