Resident at Brightmore of Wilmington Celebrates His 107th Birthday

Resident of The Commons at Brightmore of Wilmington Celebrates His 107th Birthday

“He has the best spirit. He is young at heart and so kind. He still has impressive basketball skills and has a hoop in his apartment,” said Tanya Langley, Activity Director at The Commons at Brightmore of Wilmington. The gentleman she is describing, Harold Peterson, is a resident of the assisted living community. Affectionately known as ‘Pops,’ he celebrated his 107th birthday on February 25th.

The birthday party included a performance by Winter Park Presbyterian Church’s ukulele group and lots of laughter and love with his extended family and fellow residents of The Commons at Brightmore.

Pops credits hitting the milestone birthday to a mix of the help of God and his beloved family.
