• Southeastern Seminary students hear from new president Scott Pace at fall convocation (christianindex.org) — Students at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest heard new president Scott Pace deliver his first convocation message, urging them to embrace gladness, gratitude, and a global gospel mission. The fall chapel also honored more than 200 Judson College Dean’s List students and welcomed counseling professor Nate Brooks to the combined faculty. 
• DMV wait times down almost 90% since summer of 2025, NC governor says (newsobserver.com) — Wake Forest is being considered, along with Rolesville, for a new DMV office next year, as part of statewide changes that have slashed average wait times to about 22 minutes. The governor credits walk‑in flexibility, live wait-time listings, and other operational tweaks for dramatically improving the DMV experience across North Carolina.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media
- I finally got around to weed wacking and this little baby rabbit popped out.
I immediately stopped, took the picture & walked away. I possibly saw the parent earlier in the day. Cute! (Nextdoor Olde Mill Stream) - Monarchs in my yard & lots of tiger swallowtails.
Monarch eggs & a variety of caterpillar instars on the milkweed. No cage raising needed as that has been proven to weaken the species. (Nextdoor Bold Run)
