(wakeweekly.com) — Wake Forest residents can now borrow Chromebooks and mobile hotspots from the Wake Forest Community Library as part of a new Wake County program to expand digital access. Cardholders get seven-day loans, with a possible seven-day renewal, funded by a state digital equity grant that also upgraded accessibility tools on public computers across the county system. 
• Rosemary L. Handel (themonroetimes.com) — A Monroe family is mourning the death of 66-year-old Rosemary L. Handel, whose life was filled with humor, kindness, and simple joys like walking, gardening, and puzzles. She is survived by several siblings, including her sister Diane Handel of Wake Forest, along with many nieces and nephews, with a celebration of life to be held later.
• Teen boy drowns in Falls Lake, sheriff's office says (newsnationnow.com) — A teen boy drowned Monday in Falls Lake near Creedmoor Road, in an incident that drew a large emergency response including the Wake Forest Fire Department. After an all-day search aided by volunteers and multiple agencies, the 16-year-old’s body was recovered that night, and authorities say no further information is expected to be released.
