Boater calls rise during busy Labor Day weekend on Cape Fear waterways (wwaytv3.com) — Heavy Labor Day traffic on the Cape Fear waterways near Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach led to a noticeable jump in calls for help, especially for engine failures. A local Sea Tow captain urges area boaters to slow down, plan for emergencies, designate a sober operator, and keep life jackets and anchors ready as the season winds down.
