• Heights community dives in with strong response on Cumberland pool rebuild (cleveland.com) — Cleveland Heights is moving ahead with a major renovation of historic Cumberland Pool, aiming to modernize the bathhouse, improve accessibility, and add family-friendly features while preserving its character and keeping the 2027 season open. A resident task force has gathered extensive community input, and city leaders expect preliminary designs this fall and financing legislation in spring 2027. Meanwhile, community swim times at Heights High's natatorium are delayed at least a week due to a pump failure.

• Celebrating with Cool Party (thejambar.com) — Cleveland Heights music fans can catch indie "bagel rock" band Cool Party at a DIY show Oct. 12 at Cherry Pit. The Cleveland-based group, known for its tight-knit friendships and energetic live recordings, recently released its debut EP and has been building a following through intimate shows in small local venues. It's a chance to see them up close in the Heights.
