Marietta Mayor Josh Schlicher says the aquatic center is getting a makeover: Mayor Schlicher posted pictures to Facebook Sunday showing off a shiny and clean-looking Marietta Aquatic Center. He says they've replaced concrete, pressure-washed buildings, painted the equipment and repaired the pirate ship. Schlicher says city crews did most of the work, but there will be some more contractors on-site working up until the opening day, May 29.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine talks about police reform: DeWine made a Sunday appearance on CBS News' "Face the Nation." He told John Dickerson that there's a clear pathway to police reform. He advocated for more police training, more body cameras, and hold them more accountable. DeWine called for reforms he said Republicans and Democrats should be able to come together on. He said he's never met a police officer who didn't want more training.
A New Jersey man faces child sex crime charges in Washington County: Samantha Cavalli of WTAP reports that 28-year-old Elijah Reid-Williams was arrested this weekend on multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Deputies say a 13-year-old girl in Little Hocking met the man on a dating site where he claimed to be 16-years-old. Deputies were able to lure Reid-Williams back to the area using the girl's social media and arrest him. He's behind bars in Washington County awaiting a Monday morning bail hearing.

Etta Express sweep the Muskies this weekend: This weekend the Marietta College baseball team won two games to complete a three-game sweep of Muskingum University. They won the first game 6-5 in the eleventh inning, the second game wasn't even close with a final score of 19-4. Marietta's record now stands at 21-3 overall, and they are still first in the conference. The Etta Express plays on the road Monday, May 3, for a doubleheader with Otterbein University.
Marietta College women's rowing team pick up silver at conference championships: On Sunday, the Marietta College women's rowing team came in second place at a New Jersey regatta. They were competing in the varsity 8+ crew Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Grand Final. They placed third in their heat, but really kicked things up a notch in the final race. Washington College came in first with a time of 7:09.37, Marietta came in 7:13.11, beating Stockton by about a second. They take to the water again the weekend after next in Philly for the Dad Vail Regatta.
