The trailer at 1099 Colegate Drive in Marietta is gone, but an empty letterboard remains.

MARIETTA, OH — In the past month or so, the sign at 1099 Colegate Drive in Marietta has gone through 4 incarnations. For months it stood with the message "Kelly's Pet Cemetery coming soon." Then the sign took aim at journalist Janelle Patterson saying "Janelle is a cancer." She had written a comprehensive piece covering allegations against property owner Bruce Brunton by neighbors. That only stayed up for a few days. After that, the letters were cleared off of the letterboard.

Most recently two trailers, including the one which housed the letterboards, and a backhoe have all been removed from the property. There is now caution tape lining the property, and makeshift roadblocks on the driveway. Part owner of the property, Ben Brunton, recently stated that as of right now, the property was just going to sit there.

Most curiously, the letterboards remain. No longer attached to the side of a trailer, but staked in the ground. Could this mean that the property owners plan on putting more messages there in the future?
