Governor DeWine says employers can mandate employees be vaccinated: Laura Bowen of WTAP reports that when Governor Mike DeWine was in Athens he encouraged OU students to get the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. He said the state won't be able to mandate vaccines, but employers can. DeWine says it's up to the employers. About 1/3 of the state has already been vaccinated.

Former Nelsonville deputy auditor goes to prison for theft: Daniel Griffin of WCMH reports that Stephanie Wilson of Stewart, Ohio was sentenced yesterday. She had pleaded guilty to charges related to stealing over $200,000 from the city. She will spend nearly six years in prison and have to pay a minimum of $100 a month in restitution when she gets out.
The Marietta College women's tennis team win big: The Marietta College women's tennis team won its first match on Monday. They beat Muskingum University on the road 8-1. Their record now stands at 1-3 overall. Marietta College will be back on the courts Wednesday when they host Otterbein University.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony for Shrivers Hospice: Brett Wharff of WMOA reports that on Tuesday, the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Shrivers Hospice. The ceremony will kick off at 3:00 p.m. at the chamber offices on Front Street.
