Marietta Schools are trying to pass an earned income tax levy: Todd Baucher of WTAP reports that Marietta City Schools is trying to get a new kind of tax levy passed. It's called an earned income tax levy and it's not based on property value, but purely on income. If passed it will generate $3,000,000 to go to wages for teachers and non-teaching employees. The superintendent says he hopes this passes because this funding will go a long way.
