1. Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities Hosts Community Job Fair on October 7 - (northeastohioparent.com) — A free community job fair is coming to Mentor Public Schools' Paradigm building on Center Street on Wednesday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, giving local residents direct access to at least 25 hiring employers. Anyone in Mentor looking for work or a career change can drop in without registering, bring resumes, and meet organizations ranging from Laketran and Lake Metroparks to Mentor Recreation Center and local businesses.
   

2. Aqua Ohio Announces $3 Million Water System Upgrade for Mentor (news-usa.today) — Mentor residents and businesses will soon see a $3 million Aqua Ohio project upgrading aging water mains along Mentor Avenue, with work starting the evening of September 18. Crews will focus on nighttime construction to reduce daytime traffic backups, trading some evening noise and lane restrictions for more reliable water pressure, fewer main breaks, and better long-term service.
   

3. Mentor Schools earns 4.5 stars on latest state report card (news-herald.com) — Mentor Schools has again earned an impressive 4.5 out of 5 stars on Ohio's state report card, including perfect scores in Graduation and Gap Closing. District leaders say the results reflect strong academics, extensive course options, and community support, while stressing they'll keep working to expand opportunities and support for every Mentor student's future.
   

4. Mentor vs. Riverside football: Cardinals answer opportunity's knock in win over Beavers (news-herald.com) — Mentor football fans can celebrate a 35–14 Cardinals win over Riverside, powered by three rushing touchdowns from Braylon Callahan and a strong defensive effort. The victory moves Mentor to 4–1 overall and 2–0 in the Greater Cleveland Conference, with coaches praising the team's resilience, turnover margin, and growing confidence heading into Week 6.
