3 Men Arrested For Thefts From Unlocked Cars, Garages In Shaker Heights

For months, unlocked cars, garages, and homes have been hit by unidentified suspects. Now police say they've arrested three suspects.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - After dozens of thefts from unlocked cars and open garages, police posted a statement on Facebook on Thursday saying they had arrested three men for the crimes. Two of the men arrested are from Shaker Heights and the third is from Cleveland.

In recent months, there have slews of tech and cash grabbed out of unlocked cars and garages. Accounts of those incidents will be linked at the bottom of this story.

Police said in their Facebook post that formal charges have not yet been filed against the suspects because a formal investigation into their crimes is still ongoing. A police spokesperson has not responded to Patch's request for more information.

Police did say that each of the men were connected to crime sprees in different neighborhoods within the city. The only unifying theme of their crimes was that they took advantage of unlocked vehicles, garages and homes.
