• Toledo City Council members considering push to end Flock camera usage (wtol.com) — Toledo City Council will vote Oct. 20 on a resolution urging the mayor to end the city's use of Flock license plate cameras, halt expansion, and delete collected data. Some council members, backed by many residents, cite serious privacy and data-access concerns, while others want to keep the cameras at least until an independent audit of their use is complete.

• James Hartung, 1943-2026: Embattled transportation leader 'served with joy' (toledoblade.com subscription) — Toledo is remembering longtime port authority leader and civic volunteer James Hartung, who died Oct. 2 at his Toledo home at age 83. Widely praised for promoting Toledo as a transportation hub and serving groups from Sister Cities to local arts and youth organizations, he'll be honored at a celebration of life Nov. 7 at the Toledo Club.
