• New Revenue Extends Westerville Schools' Financial Breathing Room (1808delaware.com) — Westerville City Schools now expects to stay in the black through 2031, thanks largely to the earned income tax local voters approved last November. District leaders warn, however, that shrinking state support, possible property tax changes, and future state budgets could still reshape how much funding ultimately reaches Westerville classrooms.
   

• Watterson, Big Walnut lead Central Ohio's Week 2 football results (circlevilleherald.com) — Week 2 brought big defensive nights for Westerville football fans, with Westerville Central shutting out Westerville South 17-0 and Olentangy Orange blanking Westerville North 33-0. The Warhawks improved to 2-0, while several other Central Ohio powers, including Bishop Watterson and Big Walnut, also rolled to convincing wins.
   

• Kiwanis clubs honor Parton (sanduskyregister.com) — Local Kiwanis leaders from Bellevue recently traveled to Westerville to serve as delegates at the Ohio Kiwanis District convention, where they backed support for families using Ronald McDonald Houses. Their visit followed a regional picnic in Tiffin honoring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which area clubs have long supported to get free books into young children's hands.
