Neighbors are floating ideas from an arts center to a permanent farmers market, while officials prepare a Sept. 8 work session focused solely on the site. Residents also urged council to keep fighting asphalt plant odors affecting Westerville neighborhoods. 
• Central Ohio remembers local musician (nbc4i.com) — A longtime fixture at Carsonie's in Westerville, musician Bill Foley has died unexpectedly, leaving a big hole in the local music and restaurant community. Friends and fellow performers remember his encyclopedic song list, warm personality, and decades of Wednesday-night shows. Carsonie's plans to hold a special night to honor him, giving Westerville regulars a chance to pay their respects.
• Woman dragged Kroger shopper over 300 feet to his death (lawandcrime.com) — A fatal confrontation that began with a minor fender bender in a Westerville Kroger parking lot has ended with prison time for the driver involved. Danielle Henry pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide after dragging shopper Ibrahim Diakite more than 300 feet with her car in 2025. A judge has now sentenced her to at least four years in prison and permanently revoked her license.
