Bend mom honors organ donors one year after son's death (centraloregondaily.com) — A Bend mother brought donor families, transplant recipients, and neighbors together at Alpenglow Park to honor her late son Bryant and the power of organ donation. The gathering also highlighted a new "Fields for the Future" fundraiser to build youth soccer fields and a memorial in Bend, continuing Bryant's passion for the sport while supporting local kids.

Despite some wet weather, holiday-makers enjoy Labor Day in Central Oregon (bendbulletin.com) — Central Oregon families, including new Bend residents, squeezed in one last summer adventure around Todd Lake and the Cascade Lakes before school starts this week. Beyond the Score, Ep. 60: Summit girls soccer starts the season with a statement win (ktvz.com) — Summit High's girls soccer team in Bend has opened the season perfectly, rallying past Lake Oswego on a late winner from first-time varsity senior Nina Taft and then shutting out Wilsonville 5-0. Players say they're building strong chemistry and confidence as they look ahead to key conference matchups, including a rivalry clash with Bend High later this season.
