Last Wednesday, Overlook Elementary School students and staff participated in the fourth annual National Walk at Lunch Day, sponsored by Independence Blue Cross.
The school was one of 103 organizations in the Philadelphia region to participate in the event, according to an Independence Blue Cross press release. There were more than 11,000 walkers.
The walk, which lasted about 25 minutes, left the front of the school, travelled down Silver Avenue, to Cleveland Avenue, to Corinthian Avenue, to Harding Avenue to Parkview Avenue and eventually ended on Old Welsh Road—in front of the school.
