Dr. Robert Allan Maxwell Jr., M.D., retired US Army Captain, retired oncologist at Abington Memorial Hospital and founder of Abington Hematology and Oncology Associates, has passed away at 93 (glensidelocal.com) — Longtime Abington oncologist Dr. Robert Allan Maxwell Jr., founder of Abington Hematology and Oncology Associates and former Abington Memorial Hospital physician, has died at 93. A Yale graduate, Army Medical Corps captain, and respected cancer specialist, he served both Abington Memorial and Holy Redeemer. A memorial service will be held August 27 at All Hallows Episcopal Church in Wyncote.
